It's difficult for Australia to set fresh records.

The top summits have already been conquered.

This is the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, those for the peak baggers, are the only things left for a squad that has achieved everything.

It needed until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, taking back their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the pitchers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their batters to hold a record if not provided the possibility.

Ultimately, the result of Australia conceding 330 was leader Alyssa Healy getting a chance to produce her most recent brilliance.

Initially recognized as the young family member of renowned former Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she first played in 2010 after Australia didn't secure either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups conducted earlier and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup arrived three months after her first appearance and seven world titles have come from 10 tries across formats.

The determined wicketkeeper was present as well in Derby in 2017 when a semi-final setback by India briefly halted the winning streak.

That loss "drove us to reevaluate our levels," Healy stated recently.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the title decider and was named player of the tournament. She made sure her country would not fall short again.

If this latest epic knock exceeded that prior achievement remains open for discussion.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind final game tension. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when confronting a historic chase and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What is certain is this hundred was considerably tougher to see coming.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 occurred when she led the batting statistics, but this innings followed six innings in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in training, it has been a disappointing period because it appeared I've had no rhythm at all," said Healy.

"Yet the moment you enter the playing area, your competitive nature activate and you completely engage with the contest."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her great strength - and a priceless quality in replacing legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, out to the young fast bowler in every game, but here that only provided Healy's motivation.

A single came off the bowler's initial ball and after that the batsman was in motion.

"A chance to go out there and lock in a contest with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at a World Cup - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three sixes.

By the time she was removed the team needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an achievable target now needing a comfortable finish.

"Pursuing 330 is new territory so I'm happy we have the confidence to do that now," continued Healy.

"Ideally we won't need to repeat it but, if we do, we believe we can achieve it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this tournament should hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this triumph following win against Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they were eliminated from last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy missed because of damaged tissue in her foot as she led her country for the inaugural occasion at a major tournament.

Such is her determination, she subsequently stated she regretted not playing with the discomfort.

Yet even as she later admitted those injuries have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this World Cup is likely to be her final tournament as skipper in 50-over cricket and she is still to achieve a global event as captain.

Victory in India would bring her to the top of her last major obstacle.
